Webb12 mars 2007 · It sounds like your fuel pump can't keep up, if you have a mechanical one, you should rebuild it or replace it. If you have an electric one, you should measure the pressure, it should be around 5-6 psi. If it is not, then you need a better fuel pump. The kit came with all the correct gaskets, needles and seats, seals, etc,... My fuel bowls are the "non-adjustable" float type so the fuel bowls must be off of the carburetor to adjust the float … Webb20 apr. 2015 · 1 - Check to see that the IABs are clear, blow air through them and maybe carb clean with the float bowls off 2 - Set float level to spec, or as Barnett said, slightly lower if you wish, but don't go too far. IMHO It's a good idea to go a little lower with the additional pressure your pump is putting out.

If your fuel pressure is too low, you run the risk of running the fuel bowls dry. If the pressure is too high, it can force too much fuel into the engine. That can cause fouled spark plugs, among other issues.
