All it will do is display an image of a battery that indicates it is empty with a red region near the negative end when I plug the adapter in. Under the battery is a lightening bolt. This image will disappear in a few seconds. WebJul 27, 2024 · This results in the adapter having voltage too low for the MacBook to be able to actually charge. In other words, even though it is displaying that it is charging -- it is not, and the battery is actually getting discharged just from having to display this screen.
