WebbIAP2 has developed a standardised process to formally assess the quality of an engagement practice which impacts on critical decision making and the consequential implementation of those decisions. The IAP2 Quality Assurance Standard (the Standard) sets out a quality process by which engagement projects can be assessed. WebbDeveloped by the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2)—an international professional organization that works to advance the practice of public participation globally—the influential Spectrum of Public Participation has been widely used and adapted by practitioners since it was first proposed in the early 2000s.
