WebJan 17, 2016 · What happened was when I was plugging cables into the back of my pc I bent the hdmi cord up and the slot is fine but the metal end cover for the plug ended up staying in the tv slot. Took it out and snapped it back on the cable itself. It works perfectly fine and is not broken, is this safe. All the end snapped back over the plug on the cable.

The solution was to ground the sat/cable TV coax wire going to the sat/cable TV box (which was connect to my DAC via HDMI.)
