WebAug 15, 2004 · Bought a B body oil pan, ordered a suction screen for the pump (1966) and found out the pan wouldn't fit up against the block. Figured out it was the screen hitting the baffle in the pan. It turns out the 66 pan and screen are unique on a 66 396/427. Make sure you match the pan and the screen. WebJun 25, 2013 · He still has the 454-390hp that was taken out of the car, and its still got its original oil pan on it, so it wasn't the one off that engine.
