None of online bufferbloat tests is even close to real Internet use conditions. It's enough to set a speed limiter below ISP speeds and possible bufferbloat condition disappears. WebUsually buffer bloat is only an issue when your upload speed is low and you're trying to push too much data upstream. A 1 Gbit symmetrical connection shouldn't need QoS since you have plenty of bandwidth. I would expect voice to use a fraction of your bandwidth. FWIW my bufferbloat score on dslreports is A+. If I connect to my Router (Asus RT-N56u) without QOS enabled I also have 840 ms.
